MoonChild of the Saints
“MoonChild of the Saints” re-imagines the traditional figure of St. Luke, who is believed by some to be the first iconographer in Byzantine art and Early Christian studies. In traditional iconography, St Luke is shown writing an image of the Virgin Mary and Child. “MoonChild of the Saints” writes the Mother and Child image as the beginning of creation, proposing that the goodness, abundance, and reciprocity from the creation narrative are the same gospel message that Mary and Jesus carried.
